PANORAMIC TOUR
If you’ve decided to visit our capital city Bratislava, you enjoy beautiful panoramic views, but are deterred by challenging climbs, then we highly recommend this City Tour in Bratislava. Only in our “Prešporáčik®” Oldtimers, open-topped in the summer and heated in winter, can you savor the beauty of Bratislava.
Your route leads from the beautiful historic building of the Slovak National Theatre, past the Square of the Gentle Revolution with the Old Market, through SNP Square with many historically significant buildings and churches, to the office of the Slovak government, where you’ll find the “Družba” fountain in the shape of a linden tree flower. Its the largest fountain in Bratislava. Architecturally intriguing is also the Slovak Radio building, in the shape of an inverted pyramid and the building of the National Bank of Slovakia. You’ll also see the residence of Slovak presidents the “Grasalkovič Palace”. We will also go through the historic street of the Old Town – “Palisády”, after which we’ll reach the “Slavín” memorial, where you’ll have a 15-minute break. This majestic 40-meter-high memorial, made out of granite, was built in honor of the fallen soldiers of World War II. On the way to “Slavín”, you’ll encounter several unforgettable views of the Old Town, as well as the newly built section in the style of the 21st century, characteristic of this tour.
Then, we’ll take you down to Bratislava Castle, where during a 20-minute break, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the castle courtyard, the charming baroque garden, and take the most beautiful photos of the panorama of the Old Town, the UFO Bridge, or the golden crown on Michael’s Tower. You can also visit the terrace in front of the Parliament, from which you can see as far as Austria. The tour will continue along “Zámocká” Street, the Danube embankment, to the modern buildings of the “Eurovea” shopping center and the New Theatre. You’ll see the first Slovak university located at the “Šafárikovo” Square, and the historic building of the Slovak Philharmonic on the “Ľudovít Štúr” square, the founder of the Slovak language. The tour will conclude at “Hviezdoslavovo” Square, where you boarded.
Tickets can be bought in our office “Panská“ Street 37, or at our selling stand in Hviezdoslav square (by the historical building of the Slovak National Theate).
